Buck moved to Los Angeles later in his life and passed away there on December 15, 1961.<\/p>Buck Weaver is best known in the art world for his western landscapes. He would spend long periods of time in the High sierras of Arizona, and also lived with Hopi and Navajo tribes. He had a great talent for portraying light and weather in his art, and he would often spend weeks on one painting.
